Rat Complement Factor D ELISA Kit

Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Complement Factor D (Factor D/CFD) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. Supplied under the Antibodies.com brand, the assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips and has a total run time of 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a microplate reader. The stated assay range is 0.781–50 ng/ml and sensitivity is <0.27 ng/ml.

According to the manufacturer's recovery data (n=5 per matrix), the kit delivered an average recovery of 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (80–89%). Kit contents include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and Plate Sealers (5 adhesive strips).

Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
