Rat Complement Component 5 ELISA Kit

The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Complement C5 pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Complement C5 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. Detection is achieved with TMB substrate solution, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit reports an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.138 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes.
