Rat Complement Component 4a ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Complement C4a in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich immunoassay technique, using a pre-coated microplate, biotinylated anti-Complement C4a detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay covers a range of 7.81–500 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <3.16 ng/ml and a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported mean recovery is around 91% for serum and 94% for both EDTA plasma and heparin plasma (n=5), with corresponding ranges of 83–100%, 91–98% and 90–99% respectively, and the kit is described as suitable for use with rat serum and plasma.

Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
