Rat Colony Stimulating Factor 2, Granulocyte Macrophage ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay from Antibodies.com, designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Granulocyte-Macrophage Colony-Stimulating Factor (GM-CSF, Colony Stimulating Factor 2). It is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm using a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). Total assay time is 4 h 30 min, with standards and samples added to the capture-antibody-coated wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-GM-CSF antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, TMB substrate and acidic stop solution; the absorbance is then quantified against the standard curve.

The reported product range is 15.6–1000 pg/ml and the sensitivity is 6.5 pg/ml (also stated as <6.5 pg/ml). Spike-and-recovery performance (n=5) is reported as serum 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Linearity of dilution at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported for serum at 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97%; for EDTA plasma at 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108%; and for heparin plasma at 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91%.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), 2 vials of lyophilised standard, 120 µl Detection Solution A, 120 µl Detection Solution B, 20 ml 30X Wash Buffer, 45 ml Sample Dilution Buffer, 9 ml TMB Substrate, 6 ml Stop Solution and 5 adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed and a recommendation not to use past the stated expiration date.
