The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for COL6A1. Captured analyte is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-COL6A1 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, followed by TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450nm on a microplate reader.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of <0.062 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m.
