Rat Coagulation Factor X ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Factor X in plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, with an antibody specific for Factor X pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and Factor X present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Factor X Antibody is added, which binds the captured Factor X, followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 7.4 pg/ml and an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4h 30m. Recovery data provided for the kit (n=5) include serum (83-100%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (90-103%, average 96%), and heparin plasma (89-102%, average 95%), along with linearity ranges across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions.
