Rat Coagulation Factor IX ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Coagulation Factor IX (Factor IX/PTC) in plasma and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate and a sandwich immunoassay format with a biotinylated anti-Factor IX/PTC detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Following incubation and washing, the enzymatic reaction is stopped to produce a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm, read on a colorimetric microplate reader, is proportional to the Factor IX/PTC concentration and is calculated against the supplied standard curve. Reactivity is rat-specific.

Quoted sensitivity is <0.067 ng/ml with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Spike-and-recovery in three matrices (n=5 each) was 80–102% for serum (average 91%), 81–99% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80–89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution-linearity results at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 are also reported for the same three matrices. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit must not be used past the stated expiration date.
