Rat Cluster Of Differentiation 19 ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Cluster of Differentiation 19 (CD19) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for CD19 is pre-coated onto a 96-well microtiter plate; standards and test samples are added to the wells where CD19 is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CD19 Antibody binds the captured CD19, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CD19 captured in each well, with the concentration calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm against a standard curve.

The kit offers a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported sample recovery averages (n=5) are 91% (range 83-100%) for serum, 96% (range 90-103%) for EDTA plasma and 95% (range 89-102%) for heparin plasma. Components are supplied as a pre-coated 96 well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, and are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
