Rat Claudin 3 ELISA Kit

Designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Claudin 3, this sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with anti-Claudin 3 capture antibody. Standards and samples are incubated in the wells, then a biotinylated anti-Claudin 3 detection antibody binds the captured analyte. After washing, HRP-Avidin conjugate is added and TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction, producing a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm. The assay range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <11.5 pg/ml, and is suitable for tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids.

The kit includes a pre-coated 12 x 8 well strip microplate, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X wash buffer (20 ml), sample dilution buffer (45 ml), TMB substrate (9 ml), stop solution (6 ml) and plate sealers (5 adhesive strips). Reported sample recoveries (n=5) average 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
