Rat Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Ciliary Neurotrophic Factor (CNTF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a biotinylated anti-CNTF detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Following incubation, a TMB substrate produces a colour change that is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of CNTF captured. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. The product range is 39-2500 pg/ml with a sensitivity of 17.5 pg/ml.

Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer (30X), sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Recovery has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilution factors. Components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
