Rat Chordin ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this kit is a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Chordin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate format with colorimetric detection read in a microplate reader at 450 nm.

The standard assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml, with a detection sensitivity of <0.059 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m. The procedure employs a biotinylated anti-Chordin detection antibody, followed by HRP-avidin and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is visualised by catalysis to produce a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Chordin concentration is calculated from the absorbance at 450 nm by reference to a standard curve.

Recovery has been validated in serum (range 80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (range 80-89%, average 84%). Linearity of dilution has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
