Rat Chemerin ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Chemerin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Chemerin, with bound analyte detected using a biotinylated anti-Chemerin antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. Colour development is initiated with TMB substrate, terminated by acidic stop solution, and read at 450 nm. The concentration of Chemerin is calculated by comparing the O.D. of samples to the standard curve.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 6.7 pg/ml and an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery in neat samples (n=5) was 80-102% for serum (average 91%), 81-100% for EDTA plasma (average 90%) and 80-89% for heparin plasma (average 84%). Dilution linearity from 1:2 to 1:16 was 74-107% for serum, 79-108% for EDTA plasma and 82-105% for heparin plasma.

Kit components include a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
