Rat Cathepsin K ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Cathepsin K in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for Cathepsin K is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate, with captured Cathepsin K detected using a biotinylated anti-Cathepsin K antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a colour change measured at 450 nm.

Sensitivity is reported as <6.5 pg/ml with an assay range of 15.6-1000 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery values (n=5) include serum 80%-102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%-100% (average 90%) and heparin plasma 80%-89% (average 84%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5) is reported for serum (87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%), EDTA plasma (90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%) and heparin plasma (84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%). Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed in the protocol.
