Rat Caspase 9 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Caspase-9 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Caspase-9. Standards and samples are added to the wells and bound Caspase-9 is detected using a biotinylated anti-Caspase-9 antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is converted to a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the Caspase-9 concentration in each sample.

Reported performance specifications include an assay range of 1.56–100 pg/ml and a sensitivity of 0.69 pg/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. In spike-and-recovery testing, recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%). Linearity of dilution was maintained across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The kit is suitable for cell lysates and tissue homogenates, with components stored at +4°C or –20°C as instructed.
