Rat Caspase 8 Associated Protein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com, intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat FLASH (Caspase 8 Associated Protein 2) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay is performed on a pre-coated microplate, with absorbance read at 450 nm using a colourimetric microplate reader. An antibody specific for FLASH is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-FLASH Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then added and catalysed by HRP to produce a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of FLASH captured in each well and is quantified by reference to a standard curve.

Manufacturer data report a sensitivity of 0.136 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 91% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-101%), and 84% for Heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%). Linearity is also reported across sample dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 for serum, EDTA plasma, and Heparin plasma samples. Kit components are intended for storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
