Rat Caspase 14 ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay from Antibodies.com, this kit is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Caspase-14 in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format and produces colorimetric results read at 450 nm in a microplate reader, with a total run time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Sensitivity is reported as <0.103 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.312–20 ng/ml.

The procedure uses a biotinylated anti-Caspase-14 detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. Reported mean recovery values are 91% in serum (n=5, range 83–100%), 94% in EDTA plasma (n=5, range 90–98%), and 95% in heparin plasma (n=5, range 89–102%).
