Rat Caspase 1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Caspase-1 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and uses a biotinylated anti-Caspase-1 antibody together with an HRP-avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a yellow product whose absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The assay has a sensitivity of <0.058 ng/ml and a quantitative range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery has been validated across serum (average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (average 90%, n=5) and heparin plasma (average 84%, n=5), and linearity has been demonstrated across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for all three sample types.

Kit components include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage temperatures specified per component at +4°C or -20°C. The kit is intended for research use and components should not be used past the stated expiration date.
