Rat Cartilage Oligomeric Matrix Protein ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative in vitro determination of rat Cartilage Oligomeric Matrix Protein (COMP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format, with a biotinylated anti-COMP detection antibody and HRP-avidin conjugate visualised via TMB substrate to produce a yellow colour whose absorbance is read at 450 nm.

The standard curve spans 1.56–100 ng/ml with a reported sensitivity of <0.65 ng/ml, and the full protocol runs approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported average recovery values are 91% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 84% in heparin plasma (n=5 each). Kit components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution, and adhesive plate sealers, stored at +4°C or -20°C depending on the component.
