Rat Caldesmon ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich ELISA kit designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Caldesmon/CDM in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique, using an antibody specific for Caldesmon/CDM pre-coated onto a microtiter plate, with detection via a biotinylated anti-Caldesmon/CDM antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate, and a TMB substrate solution that produces a yellow-coloured product read at 450 nm.

Sensitivity is reported as <0.104 ng/ml with a quantitative assay range of 0.312-20 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Detection is colourimetric, performed on a microplate reader. Average recovery in serum (n=5) is 94% across 87%-101%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) it is 95% across 90%-101%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) it is 96% across 91%-102%. Dilution linearity is provided for serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma.

The platform is a pre-coated microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the product should not be used past its expiration date.
