Rat Calcium/Calmodulin Dependent Protein Kinase II Alpha ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com provides a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat CaMKII alpha (Calcium/Calmodulin Dependent Protein Kinase II Alpha) in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate platform. Detection relies on a biotinylated anti-CaMKII alpha antibody, an HRP-Avidin conjugate, and TMB substrate; the enzymatic reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.

The quantitative assay range is 0.156-10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.054 ng/ml. Spike-and-recovery has been validated in serum (83-100%, average 91%, n=5), EDTA plasma (90-98%, average 94%, n=5), and heparin plasma (90-99%, average 94%, n=5). Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions has also been characterised for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples.
