Rat Calcitonin ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Calcitonin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

It uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate together with a biotinylated anti-Calcitonin detection antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader. The assay range is 15.6-1000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <5.14 pg/ml, and the total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

Reported recovery in spiked samples averages 91% for serum (range 80-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-99%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%). Components supplied include the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and adhesive plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated on each component.
