Rat Calbindin ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Calbindin in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with standards and samples binding to an immobilised capture antibody before incubation with a biotinylated anti-Calbindin antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow product whose intensity, read at 450 nm, is proportional to Calbindin concentration in each well.

The kit reports a sensitivity of <3.2 pg/ml and an assay range of 9.38-600 pg/ml. Total assay time is 4h 30m and detection is colourimetric using a standard microplate reader. Recovery was evaluated in serum (n=5, average 91%, range 80%-102%), EDTA plasma (n=5, average 90%, range 81%-100%) and heparin plasma (n=5, average 84%, range 80%-89%). Linearity at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was assessed in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Components include the pre-coated plate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
