Rat Cadherin, Epithelial ELISA Kit

The assay employs a pre-coated microplate and a biotinylated anti-E Cadherin detection antibody, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised by catalysis to produce a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of E Cadherin captured per well. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

The stated product range is 0.312–20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.079 ng/ml, and the total assay time is 4h 30m. Reported recovery averages 91% in serum (range 80–102%), 90% in EDTA plasma (range 81–100%) and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80–89%), with sample dilution linearity demonstrated from 1:2 to 1:16 across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
