Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat CXCL14, also known as Breast And Kidney Expressed Chemokine, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with rat samples and is intended for research use only.

Performed on a pre-coated microplate platform and read colorimetrically at 450 nm in a microplate reader, the kit has a working range of 0.156–10 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.058 ng/ml. The total assay time is approximately 4 hours 30 minutes.

The procedure employs an antibody specific for CXCL14 pre-coated onto the plate; standards and samples are added and bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-CXCL14 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow-coloured product whose density is proportional to the CXCL14 concentration in each well, calculated against a standard curve. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma.
