Rat Brain Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. The kit is built around a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips and is read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

The assay uses a Biotinylated Anti-BNP Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate, with TMB substrate producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The intensity of the yellow colour is directly proportional to the amount of BNP captured in each well. The detection range is 31.2-2000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <8.44 pg/ml, and total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes.
