Rat Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 ELISA Kit

This sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 (BMP7) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with BMP7 in standards and samples captured by the immobilised antibody, detected using a biotinylated anti-BMP7 antibody, and visualised through an HRP-avidin conjugate and TMB substrate reaction read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

Manufacturer-stated performance characteristics include a sensitivity of less than 6.1 pg/ml and an assay range of 15.6 to 1000 pg/ml, with a total assay time of approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Reported mean recovery across sample types is 91% for serum, 90% for EDTA plasma and 84% for heparin plasma, together with dilution linearity data for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions in each of the three sample matrices.

Kit components supplied include a pre-coated 96-well microplate, lyophilised standard, detection solutions A and B, 30X wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated in the product insert and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
