Rat Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Bone Morphogenetic Protein 6 (BMP6) in rat serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for BMP6 captures the target from standards and test samples, followed by incubation with a biotinylated anti-BMP6 antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue product that turns yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm using a colorimetric microplate reader.

Reported performance figures include a sensitivity of <11.3 pg/ml and an assay range of 31.2-2000 pg/ml. The total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated. Validation data report average spike-and-recovery values of 91% for serum (range 80-102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81-100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80-89%, n=5), with dilution linearity data across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample ratios also provided.
