Rat Biliverdin Reductase A ELISA Kit

A sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Biliverdin Reductase A (BVR) in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a colourmetric readout on a microplate reader measuring absorbance at 450 nm. Total assay time is approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes.

Reported performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.231 ng/ml and a working assay range of 0.625–40 ng/ml. In spike-and-recovery testing (n=5) across different matrices, average recovery was 91% for serum (range 80%–102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%). Linearity was assessed across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with recovery ranges of 87%–91%, 87%–107%, 74%–101% and 92%–97% for serum; 90%–105%, 84%–101%, 90%–101% and 79%–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84%–95%, 92%–105%, 82%–105% and 89%–91% for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed.

The kit is intended for the quantitative measurement of BVR in rat samples and is suitable for use with tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
