Rat Betacellulin ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) supplied by Antibodies.com for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Betacellulin (BTC) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for BTC has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells; captured BTC is bound by a Biotinylated Anti-BTC Antibody, and detection is achieved with an HRP-Avidin conjugate and TMB substrate. The enzymatic catalysis produces a blue colour that changes to yellow on addition of acidic stop solution, and the concentration of BTC is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450nm on a colorimetric microplate reader against the standard curve.

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 2.4 pg/ml with a quantitative working range of 9.38-600 pg/ml and a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components comprise Detection Solution A, Detection Solution B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution, lyophilised standard, the pre-coated microplate, and plate sealers, to be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
