Rat Beta-2-Microglobulin ELISA Kit

A quantitative sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA), the Antibodies.com kit is designed for the in vitro determination of rat beta 2 Microglobulin in serum, plasma, urine, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate to which an antibody specific for beta 2 Microglobulin has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells and captured analyte is detected using a biotinylated anti-beta 2 Microglobulin antibody followed by an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualise the enzymatic reaction; after addition of stop solution, the colour change is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and the concentration calculated against the standard curve.

The standard curve covers a range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a reported sensitivity of <0.091 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 min. Spiking recovery averaged 91% in serum (range 83–100%), 96% in EDTA plasma (range 90–103%) and 94% in heparin plasma (range 90–99%) across n=5 samples per matrix. Dilution linearity has been evaluated at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 sample dilutions. Kit components are stored at +4 °C or –20 °C as instructed and should not be used past the expiration date.
