Rat B-Cell Leukemia/Lymphoma 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Bcl-2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. Manufactured by Antibodies.com, the kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips). An antibody specific for Bcl-2 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Bcl-2 Antibody and then HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, with absorbance read at 450nm on a colourimetric microplate reader. Synonyms for the target include Apoptosis regulator Bcl-2 and BCL2.

The reported assay range is 78.1-5000 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <30.98 pg/ml. Typical recovery values (n=5) were 87%-101% (average 94%) in serum, 90%-101% (average 95%) in EDTA plasma, and 91%-102% (average 96%) in heparin plasma. Sample dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions (n=5) was 90-101%, 79-108%, 84-95% and 92-105% for serum; 82-105%, 89-91%, 87-109% and 74-104% for EDTA plasma; and 90-94%, 86-108%, 86-101% and 90-101% for heparin plasma. Total assay time is approximately 4h 30m. Supplied components include a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
