Rat ATPase, Na+/K+ Transporting Beta 1 Polypeptide ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Sodium Potassium ATPase in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay has a sensitivity of <0.057 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Detection is performed colorimetrically on a microplate reader and the kit is reactive with rat.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate in a 12 x 8 well strip format. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, where the target is captured by an immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-Sodium Potassium ATPase Antibody binds the captured analyte, and an HRP-Avidin conjugate is added. TMB substrate is used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow after the addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm and concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Recovery was assessed across sample types (n=5): Serum 83–99% (average 91%), EDTA Plasma 80–100% (average 90%), and Heparin Plasma 82–99% (average 90%). Kit components should be stored at +4°C or −20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
