Rat Aquaporin 4 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Aquaporin 4 in tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates, or other biological fluids. The plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific for Aquaporin 4. Captured analyte is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Aquaporin 4 Antibody followed by HRP-Avidin conjugate, and visualised using TMB substrate solution; the resulting absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader.

The quantitative colorimetric assay has a measuring range of 0.312-20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.124 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 h 30 m, run on a pre-coated microplate platform of 12 x 8 well strips. Components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit is suitable for cell lysates, tissue homogenates and cell culture supernates.

Validation data supplied with the kit report recovery ranges at n=5 for serum (80-102%, average 91%), EDTA plasma (81-100%, average 90%) and heparin plasma (80-89%, average 84%), together with linearity values across serial dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16 for the same sample types.
