Rat Apolipoprotein F ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit enables the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Apolipoprotein F (APOF) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific for APOF, followed by a biotinylated anti-APOF detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is added and the reaction is stopped with acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and APOF concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

Reported sensitivity is <0.54 ng/ml and the assay range is 1.56-100 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Reported recovery for serum is 80%-102% (average 91%, n=5), for EDTA plasma 81%-100% (average 90%, n=5), and for heparin plasma 80%-89% (average 84%, n=5). Across dilutions from 1:2 to 1:16, manufacturer-reported linearity ranges from 87-91% to 92-97% for serum, 90-105% to 79-108% for EDTA plasma, and 84-95% to 89-91% for heparin plasma (n=5).
