Rat Apolipoprotein C3 ELISA Kit

This sandwich-format ELISA from Antibodies.com enables quantitative in vitro measurement of rat Apolipoprotein CIII in serum, plasma, or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) and the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. Standards and samples are added to wells, followed by a biotinylated anti-Apolipoprotein CIII antibody, then an HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a yellow product read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader, with concentration calculated against a standard curve.

The assay has a stated range of 6.25–400 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <2.16 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Spike-and-recovery values (n=5) were: serum 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Reported dilution linearity (n=5) across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions for serum ranged 74%–107%; EDTA plasma 79%–108%; and heparin plasma 82%–105%.
