Rat Apolipoprotein A5 ELISA Kit

Manufactured for Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Apolipoprotein A V/APOA5 in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate platform with colorimetric detection, and the concentration of analyte is calculated from the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm read against a standard curve. The quoted sensitivity is <0.077 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 h 30 min. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and the product should not be used past its expiration date.

Validation data supplied with the kit report recoveries across sample types. In undiluted serum (n=5) recovery ranged from 80% to 102% with an average of 91%; in EDTA plasma (n=5) from 81% to 100% with an average of 90%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) from 80% to 89% with an average of 84%. Dilution linearity data are also provided for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
