Rat Apolipoprotein A2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this sandwich ELISA is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Apolipoprotein A II in serum, plasma or other biological fluids [S1].

The assay employs a 96-well microplate pre-coated with an antibody specific for Apolipoprotein A II. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-Apolipoprotein A II antibody, HRP-avidin conjugate, TMB substrate and an acidic stop solution; the resulting yellow colour is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and is proportional to the analyte concentration [S1]. The stated assay range is 6.25–400 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <2.57 ng/ml [S1].

Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed and not used past the expiration date [S1]. The microplate is provided as 12 x 8 well strips, and the total assay time is 4 h 30 min [S1]. Reported average recovery values are 91% for serum (n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5) [S1].
