Rat Apelin Receptor ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat APLNR/APJ Receptor ELISA Kit is a sandwich enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (sELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat APLNR/APJ Receptor in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated microtiter plate. An antibody specific for APLNR/APJ Receptor is immobilised on the wells; standards or samples are added and the target binds to the captured antibody. After washing, a biotinylated anti-APLNR/APJ Receptor antibody is added, followed by HRP-avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue-coloured product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution; absorbance is read at 450 nm in a microplate reader and the concentration is calculated against the standard curve.

The reported assay range is 0.312-20 ng/ml with a sensitivity of 0.128 ng/ml. Detection is colourimetric and total assay time is 4h 30m. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date. Reported spike-and-recovery values are: serum (n=5) 80-102% with an average of 91%, EDTA plasma (n=5) 81-100% with an average of 90%, and heparin plasma (n=5) 80-89% with an average of 84%. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions is: serum 87-91%, 87-107%, 74-101%, 92-97%; EDTA plasma 90-105%, 84-101%, 90-101%, 79-108%; heparin plasma 84-95%, 92-105%, 82-105%, 89-91%.
