Rat Angiotensinogen ELISA Kit

This sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Angiotensinogen in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips) onto which an antibody specific for Angiotensinogen has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Angiotensinogen Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. A TMB substrate solution is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of the acidic stop solution; the density of yellow is proportional to the amount of Angiotensinogen captured in each well.

Concentration is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader and referring to the standard curve. The assay has a product range of 0.781-50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.32 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Recovery has been validated across sample matrices: serum (n=5) 80%-102% with an average of 91%, EDTA plasma (n=5) 81%-100% with an average of 90%, and heparin plasma (n=5) 80%-89% with an average of 84%. Kit components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
