Rat Angiotensin II Receptor 2 ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com, this Rat Angiotensin II Type 2 Receptor ELISA Kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique for the quantitative measurement of rat Angiotensin II Type 2 Receptor in tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. An antibody specific for the target is pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate; standards and samples are added and the captured target is detected with a Biotinylated Anti-Angiotensin II Type 2 Receptor Antibody followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The enzymatic reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a yellow product whose absorbance at 450 nm is proportional to the amount of target in each well.

The assay is read on a colorimetric microplate reader and has a reported sensitivity of 0.051 ng/ml with a quantitative range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes, and the platform is a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips. Supplied components include the pre-coated 96 well microplate, lyophilised standard (2 vials), Detection Solution A (120 µl), Detection Solution B (120 µl), 30X Wash Buffer (20 ml), Sample Dilution Buffer (45 ml), TMB Substrate (9 ml), Stop Solution (6 ml) and 5 adhesive plate sealers, with storage at +4 °C or −20 °C as indicated on each component.

Matrix recovery is reported as 80–102% (average 91%) for serum (n=5), 81–100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma (n=5) and 80–89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma (n=5). Linear dilution recovery at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is reported as 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% respectively for serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% for EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% for heparin plasma (all n=5).
