Rat Angiotensin I Converting Enzyme 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat ACE2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique using a pre-coated 96-well microtiter plate; standards and samples are captured by an immobilized antibody, then detected using a Biotinylated Anti-ACE2 Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a colour change measured at 450 nm in a microplate reader, and ACE2 concentration is calculated by reference to the standard curve.

The assay has a reported sensitivity of 0.25 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.781-50 ng/ml. The platform is a pre-coated microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the assay is for colourmetric detection on a microplate reader. Reported average recoveries were 91% for serum (n=5, range 80%-102%), 90% for EDTA plasma (n=5, range 81%-100%), and 84% for heparin plasma (n=5, range 80%-89%).
