Rat Angiopoietin Like Protein 6 ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich ELISA kit for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat ANGPTL6 (Angiopoietin Like Protein 6) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate to which an antibody specific for ANGPTL6 has been immobilised. Standards and test samples are added to the wells so that ANGPTL6 present is bound by the immobilised antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-ANGPTL6 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualise the HRP enzymatic reaction; catalysis produces a blue product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the amount of ANGPTL6 captured, and the concentration is calculated from the O.D. absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader against a standard curve.

The assay range is 0.156–10 ng/ml with a sensitivity of <0.055 ng/ml, and the total run time is 4 h 30 min. Sample recovery and dilution linearity have been validated in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16. Kit components are stored at either +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit should not be used past its expiration date.
