Rat Angiopoietin Like Protein 2 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Antibodies.com is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat ANGPTL2/ARP2 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The assay employs the sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique on a pre-coated 96-well microplate arranged as 12 x 8 well strips. An antibody specific for ANGPTL2/ARP2 is immobilised on the plate; standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-ANGPTL2/ARP2 Antibody and then an HRP-Avidin conjugate. The reaction is visualised with TMB substrate, producing a blue product that turns yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. Absorbance is read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, and concentration is calculated by reference to a standard curve.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a sensitivity of 0.107 ng/ml and an assay range of 0.312–20 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Recovery was 80–102% (average 91%) in serum (n=5), 81–101% (average 91%) in EDTA plasma (n=5), and 80–89% (average 84%) in Heparin plasma (n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 was demonstrated for serum (87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101%, 92–97%), EDTA plasma (90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101%, 79–108%) and Heparin plasma (84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105%, 89–91%). The kit includes a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, Detection Solutions A and B, 30X Wash Buffer, Sample Dilution Buffer, TMB Substrate, Stop Solution and plate sealers; components should be stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
