The kit employs a sandwich immunoassay format, with an antibody specific for AGGF1 pre-coated onto a microtiter plate. Standards and test samples are added to the wells, and AGGF1 present in each sample is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing, a Biotinylated Anti-AGGF1 Antibody is added, followed by an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is then used to visualize the HRP enzymatic reaction, producing a blue-coloured product that changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution. The concentration of AGGF1 is calculated by reading the O.D. absorbance at 450 nm in a microplate reader and referring to the standard curve.
