Rat Amyloid Precursor Protein ELISA Kit

Manufactured under the Antibodies.com brand, this sandwich-format ELISA kit is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Amyloid Precursor Protein in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.

The assay uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate (12 x 8 well strips), a biotinylated anti-Amyloid Precursor Protein detection antibody, an HRP-avidin conjugate and a TMB substrate. Colour development is read as optical density at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader, with the analyte concentration calculated against the standard curve. Total assay time is reported as 4 hours 30 minutes.

Performance figures supplied by the manufacturer include a sensitivity of <0.49 ng/ml and a standard range of 1.25-80 ng/ml. Reported spike-and-recovery values are 80-102% (average 91%) for serum, 81-100% (average 90%) for EDTA plasma and 80-89% (average 84%) for heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated and comprise the pre-coated microplate, lyophilized standard, detection solutions A and B, wash buffer, sample dilution buffer, TMB substrate, stop solution and plate sealers.
