Rat Amyloid Beta Precursor Protein Binding Protein 2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) from Antibodies.com intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Amyloid Beta Precursor Protein Binding Protein 2 (APPBP2) in tissue homogenates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate of 12 x 8 well strips, with absorbance read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm. Reactivity is limited to rat samples. [C0, S1, S2]

An antibody specific for APPBP2 is pre-coated onto the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-APPBP2 Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate is used to visualize the enzymatic reaction; the resulting blue product changes to yellow upon addition of acidic stop solution, and the yellow intensity is proportional to APPBP2 captured in each well. Sensitivity is 0.065 ng/ml, with an assay range of 0.156–10 ng/ml. Total assay time is 4 hours 30 minutes. [S1, S2]

Reported average recovery is 91% in serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 91% in EDTA plasma (range 81%–101%, n=5), and 84% in heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Linearity data are provided for 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 dilutions of serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma.
