Rat Alpha-2-Heremans Schmid Glycoprotein ELISA Kit

From Antibodies.com's Assays and Kits range, this Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative in vitro determination of rat Alpha 2 Heremans Schmid Glycoprotein (AHSG) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a pre-coated microplate bearing an antibody specific for AHSG; standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-AHSG antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate. Detection is achieved with TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader.

The standard curve covers 6.25–400 ng/ml, sensitivity is <2.87 ng/ml, and the full assay protocol takes 4h 30m. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed; the kit must not be used past its expiration date. Spike-and-recovery validation gave averages of 91% for serum (range 80%–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81%–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80%–89%, n=5). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 returned recoveries of 87–91%, 87–107%, 74–101% and 92–97% in serum; 90–105%, 84–101%, 90–101% and 79–108% in EDTA plasma; and 84–95%, 92–105%, 82–105% and 89–91% in heparin plasma.
