Rat Alkaline Phosphatase, Liver/Bone/Kidney ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Antibodies.com, this assay enables the quantitative in vitro determination of rat Alkaline Phosphatase, Tissue Non-Specific in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates or other biological fluids. The kit uses a pre-coated 96-well microplate supplied as 12 x 8 well strips; an antibody specific to the target is immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a biotinylated anti-target detection antibody and an HRP-avidin conjugate, with bound analyte visualised using TMB substrate that produces a yellow product. Absorbance is read at 450 nm on a colorimetric microplate reader and analyte concentration is calculated from the standard curve.

Manufacturer-reported performance specifications include a product range of 0.781–50 ng/ml and a sensitivity of <0.31 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4 hours 30 minutes. Spiked-recovery across the principal sample matrices is summarised as an average of 91% for serum (range 80–102%, n=5), 90% for EDTA plasma (range 81–100%, n=5) and 84% for heparin plasma (range 80–89%, n=5). Linearity of dilution across 1:2 to 1:16 dilutions is also reported for each matrix. Reagents are stored at +4°C or -20°C as indicated, and the kit must not be used past its expiration date.
