Rat Aldolase C, Fructose Bisphosphate ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com supplies this sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (sELISA) for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Aldolase C in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay is reactive with rat samples and is built around a pre-coated microplate (12 x 8 well strips) read on a colorimetric microplate reader at 450 nm.

An antibody specific for Aldolase C is immobilised on the plate. Standards and samples are added, followed by a Biotinylated Anti-Aldolase C Antibody and an HRP-Avidin conjugate. TMB substrate produces a blue colour that turns yellow after addition of the acidic stop solution; the yellow intensity is proportional to the Aldolase C concentration and is read against a standard curve generated from a 40 ng/ml stock serially diluted down to 0.625 ng/ml.

Reported sensitivity is 0.283 ng/ml and the assay range is 0.625–40 ng/ml, with a total assay time of 4h 30m. Mean recoveries (n=5) are: serum 80%–102% (average 91%), EDTA plasma 81%–100% (average 90%), and heparin plasma 80%–89% (average 84%). Dilution linearity at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 is provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Kit components are stored at +4°C or -20°C as instructed.
