Rat Agouti Related Protein ELISA Kit

Antibodies.com offers a sandwich Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of rat Agouti Related Protein (AGRP) in serum, plasma or other biological fluids. The assay employs an antibody specific for AGRP pre-coated onto a 96-well microplate configured as 12 x 8 well strips. Detection is achieved using a Biotinylated Anti-AGRP Antibody and HRP-Avidin conjugate, visualised via TMB substrate solution read at 450 nm in a colorimetric microplate reader.

Quantitative performance is characterised across an assay range of 9.38-600 pg/ml with a sensitivity of <3.5 pg/ml, and the complete protocol requires approximately 4 hours 30 minutes. Manufacturer validation data report average recovery of 91% from serum (range 80-102%), 90% from EDTA plasma (range 81-100%) and 84% from heparin plasma (range 80-89%), each determined with n=5. Sample linearity has also been assessed at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16 across each sample matrix.
